About me and my approach

With empathy and authenticity my aim is to help bring increased awareness to you surrounding your thoughts, feelings and behaviour.

I aim to offer clients a hopeful and safe environment for therapy whether they are experiencing unbearable suffering or simply wish to identify some goals and make changes. I like listening and I will patiently attempt to understand as much as I can about your experience and what it is that you wish for.

As an integrative counsellor my approach is a blend, I am humanistic and this means that I believe in our ability to grow and change and that all aspects of ourselves matter if we are to achieve the change that we want. I will walk alongside you with compassion and we can notice together what is helpful to you throughout your journey.

Things to know about me: I am a thorough, careful person, cutting corners just isn't me. Prior to qualifying I have run my own business and worked in a corporate business environment involved in media.  In addition to my counselling qualifications I bring my skills and experience in communication and my interest in language and power where this may be of benefit to you.

As I am a member of the BACP you can be assured that I practice according to its ethical framework. I am fully insured and hold an Enhanced DBS  certificate . My training was completed at Wealden College of Counselling and Psychotherapy and my placement at West Kent Mind.

Also I love dogs! Although I do get the cat thing too - they do seem to have the autonomy thing cracked!
